REVEREND ROBERT O. SETZER
Reverend Setzer preached his initial sermon in July of 1977 and served as an interim Pastor beginning October of 1986. He was ordained in December of 1986 and called to Pastor the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in January of 1987.
Reverend Robert Owen Setzer was born September 2, 1959 to parents Robert & Josephine B. Setzer. He is the husband of Sandra Smith Setzer and the father of two children: Joseph and Mariah.
It is Reverend Setzer's prayer and belief that all men should know Jesus as Lord and Savior, no matter what their social status, race, or creed may be. As the scripture says in 1 Timothy 2:4, It is the will of God that all should be saved and none perish. Reverend Setzer is a loyal and obedient servant to the Lord. Most of all, he loves the Lord and is dedicated to the preaching and teaching of God's word.
Reverend Setzer is a 1977 graduate of Hunter Huss High School in Gastonia, NC. In 1989, he graduated from Mid-Atlantic Bible College in Rock Hill, SC where he received an Associate of Arts Degree in Theology. Reverend Setzer has also received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Studies and a Master's Degree in Pastoral Care & Counseling from Gardner Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC.
